Otjiwarongo means "Beautiful Place" in Otjiherero. Otjiwarongo is strategically located in the centre of Namibia, hence is a gateway to the north, west, south and east of the country. It lies 250km north of the city of Windhoek, 380km east of harbour town of Walvis Bay and 600km south of Oshikango on the border with Angola.

Otjiwarongo is situated on the main road to the legendary Etosha National Park, while it is also in close proximity of other popular sceneries such as the Waterburg Plateau and the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

The town is the regional capital of the vast Otjozondjupa region, thus serving as a major business and shopping hub for a number of smaller towns and the surrounding commercial farming community.

Township Tour
N$550Â per person (minimum 2 people)
This tour takes you on a two hour drive around the township of Otjiwarongo where you will see many sights including the historic locomotive train, Herero dress manufacturing centre, and arts centre. You will have the opportunity to purchase handmade jewellery, craft and dresses direct from the makers and meet many local self-taught business owners.

Sundowner Tour
N$ 600Â per person (minimum 2 people)
Enjoy a sundowner whilst watching the sunset from the Otjiberg Mountain. I will meet you in town and we will drive to the mountain where we will take a short walk (approx 10 minutes) to the top for beautiful views out over the awe-inspiring landscape. Enjoy a drink while the sunsets before returning to town at approximately 7.30pm.
